Merry Christmas indeed!!  The Nokia Theater in L.A. was the site of a December 16th Christmas show featuring Rob Halford (of Judas Priest), Slash (of Guns N Roses), Jason Bonham (son of John Bonham, former drummer for Foreigner), Heart, Foreigner, Richie Sambora (Bon Jovi), and others.

I am trying to write this post with the utmost positiveness I can conjure up. It is difficult. 12/24 is Todd’s birthday. Yup, he almost shared it with the baby Jesus! I hope they are both celebrating. Todd, incase you do not know, is my wonderful boyfriend who passed away on July 3 2009. These last 6 monthes have had thier ups and downs needless to say. And although I know to count my blessings and be thankful and remain happy and positive as he would want me to do, I am crippled with sadness at this time as well. If it is possible to be sad and positive at the same time. That is how I am feeling.

I try to remember this poem that sounds like he is saying the words-

If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh a kiss. These things, I too will miss.

Todd is now our special angel in heaven watching out for all us! And FOR SURE making the opponents miss field goals!!

Merry Christmas! and truly, thank you workforce and making these last 6 monthes bareable.

Tuesday night (12/22), between 6pm-8pm, I’ll have a pair of great tickets to give away for Sunday’s game in the Dome against Tampa Bay.  I’ll also toss in some  Saints gear, and some LA Lottery prizes…all courtesy of the Louisiana Lottery!!  Here’s the deal – at some point between 6-8pm, we’ll play Saints Math.  I will give you a list of current/former Saints players, and tell you whether to add or subtract them (using the numbers from their Saints jerseys, i.e., 32+10-14+9+16-2=51)…the first caller at 260-9595 with the correct total scores the loot!!!

As if I didn’t hate shopping enough already.  Took a break from Christmas to do some basic grocery shopping…just needed a few things, so instead of my usual favorite store, I stopped at the evil ___ -______.   After spending 10 minutes looking for a parking space, I ran in, quickly grabbed what I needed, and headed for the 10 items or less lane.  OF COURSE, I found myself behind a very large woman, who obviously had more than 10 items in her cart (can you say “piled high and ready to spill out of the cart”).  Waiting patiently, I watched as the cashier rang up and bagged $213 worth of items.  O.K., so I’m a LITTLE irritated at this point, but it gets worse!!!  After going through the woman’s pile of coupons, the cashier re-rings to new total – $204.

After fumbling around in her bag for what seemed like hours, the woman pulls a twenty out, and says “I thought I brought more money than this”….then she proceeds to have the cashier remove ONE ITEM AT A TIME from her bags until she gets her total below $20…a good 20-25 minutes…an eternity for me and the 10 people in line behind me.  Why not move to another register?  Because the lines are twice as long, and I’m next here, right???  Well, you know what’s coming… As the lady waddles off with her $20 bag of groceries, the cashier pulls the drawer out of her register, and not so politely says “I’m closed here!”

Being nearly as polite as the cashier, I dumped my measely 6 items on the checkout counter, and walked out into the pouring rain.  Happy Holidays, indeed!!!

Those broads were sooooo afraid of all my 115 pounds of whoop ass last night!!! That’s me in the stripes. For some reason Gonzo dressed like a hockey player, I think he got confused when I said we would be skating comeptively. The big Easy Roller Girls ROCK! The truth is, they kicked me and Gonzo’s ass!! We filmed with local band THE MORNING LIFE for a full-on MTV-Fuse worthy music video! Good stuff! And thanx to SKATE COUNTRY on the West Bank. I have bruises in places I didn’t think you could get bruises….
