To die hard Classic Rock fans, the name Tommy Bolin is a familiar one – as the guitarist for Zephyr, The James Gang, and Deep Purple…as well as session work and two solo albums. By the time Bolin hooked up with Deep Purple in 1975, he was plagued with substance abuse issues, and his role with band ended after one tour. By 1976, Bolin was back on the road with his solo band, and planning his second solo album, “Private Eyes”. During the recording of this album, and the subsequent tour, his substance issues took a turn for the worse, and after opening a show for Jeff Beck on December 3, 1976, he was found in his hotel room – dead at 25. This one’s from Tommy’s “Private Eyes” album…one of my favorite Lost Classics…”Post Tostee”:

It’s the side dishes! Turkey rocks both traditional and fried. However, there is no aphrodisiac at all in the bird. You may want to fill up on the side dishes should you want some lovin this Thanksgiving Weekend! Best side dishes to get your Thanksgiving love on-
Pumpkin Pie-the smell of pumpkin pie makes dudes go wacky.
Figs- in the cranberry sauce. Add em in there, figs help blood flow.
Sweet Potatoes-the real reason Maw Maw makes them-this dish puts both men and woman in the mood due to the hig potenctey of potassium
Celery-an ingrediant in a ton of Thanksgiving dishes. There is something in it called Pheromone that males swear attracts woman. perhaps the only veggie dudes will now eat a lot of.
Enjoy! And happy Gobble Gobble!

This week, to coincide with the release of Sarah Palin’s book Going Rogue, Newsweek’s editors decided to print two essays about the former Alaska governor and have her image grace their cover. The photo chosen was from a shoot Palin had participated in for Runner’s World magazine.
Newsweek is under fire for using the picture – not only out of context, but without permission.
Newsweek’s Editor, John Meacham has responded to critics. “We chose the most interesting image available to us to illustrate the theme of the cover, which is what we always try to do,” Meacham said. “We apply the same test to photographs of any public figure, male or female: does the image convey what we are saying? That is a gender-neutral standard.”
Hey, it’s not Newsweek’s fault that Sarah has better wheels than Joe Biden…right?
And what wheels she has!!!

Due out today (11/17), it’s called “In Super Overdrive Live”, and was recorded at the Congress Theater in Chicago earlier this year. Billy sounds great, and Steve Stevens can still rip on the guitar!! Check out “Rebel Yell” from the DVD:
Hard to believe that it’s been 25 years since U2 released “The Unforgettable Fire” – my favorite album from one of my favorite bands. To celebrate, they’ve been tossing out a series of reissues – a re-mastered version, a vinyl edition, a deluxe edition, and a “super-deluxe edition”. Recorded in Ireland’s Slane Castle, and produced by Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois (who once had a studio here in New Orleans) – the band say the experience “deconstucted” U2. Check out this video to hear the story behind “The Unforgettable Fire”:
Here we go again. Another band blow up. According to sources, Steven Tyler has quit Aerosmith. Joe Perry says that Aerosmith will go one with or without Steven. Steven says he wants to focus on Steven and not the band anymore. How bout they all just shut up and stay together? We’ll keep you posted on this one…….
